So every year or so Brian Jones puts on his John Cage Music Circus.
This year was most excellent because the event was housed in the Visual Arts Center of Richmond which is a huge space and allowed for many more musicians to participate in the event.
I recorded the Music Circus about 3 years ago and this year I got the chance to do it again. It’s slow walk through the entire Music Circus and clocks in at about 54 minutes long. Just near the end, around the 48 minute mark, I walk completely through the circus in reverse very quickly…revisting everything you’ve heard one more time.
It begins outside the front door of the Arts Center. It’s to difficult to describe where everything was exactly …but if you were there then it’s fun to figure out exactly where I am.
